China Launches Moon mission
Website: BBC News
This article is a Chinese rocket that was launched in to the moon and the rocket was carrying a probe that is aimed to the moon. The rocket in a Long March 3C rocket with the Chang’e-2 probe and this rocket took of in Xichang. The rocket that was send will shoot the craft into the trans-lunar orbit after the satellite is expected to reach the Moon in about five days.
With the Chang’e-2 they will be used as a test key technologies and it will also collect data for a future landing of the rocket. China said that it will send a rover on its next mission, they also say that it has ambitions to put humans on the surface of the lunar body at some future date. The Xinhua News Agency said that Chang'e-2 would circle about 15 km above the rocky terrain so that way they could take photographs of possible landing locations. This is Chinas second lunar probe and the first one was launched in the year of 2007. This craft that was launched in 2007 stayed in space for 16 months before it was intentionally crashed on the moons surface. China has launched this rocket to see if there goal can be met like putting humans on the lunar body.
The reason that I have decided to share this piece of news is because this rocket that china has launched could affect us and the reason that I say that is because what if the rocket could find some valuable information and China could really put humans on the lunar body.
The way that this article is related to the unit that we are learning in class is because we are learning about China in class and we are learning about the factors of civilization and this goes under the category of civilizations.
